*****************************************************************************************

I have to say I'm bit disappointed and upset with this months box because they forgot to include an item from the Perfect Skin category. I was really looking forward to the stuff but to my dismay it wasn't there. (I know I checked twice)

But, other than the fact that Vanity Trove forgot to include the Perfect Skin category I'm quite keen to try out item from Top Runway Looks, Wrinkle Free Body and Vanity Treat from Watsons.

There are quite a few item in this box that I've seen/heard but never had the opportunity to try.

So wish me luck with the testing (^_-)-☆

Sleek Maximum Impact Eyeshadow - Nude 971, Is it really Nude? [REVIEW & SWATCH]

Alright...

I've finally reached the last makeup item I received from Luxola.com

Package
First, I have to say compared to the other Sleek products I've seen, the packaging for the Sleek Maximum Impact Eyeshadow was a total let down. I was hoping for a Sleeker (is that a word?) look to it. Instead it looks quite cheap in the build though not necessarily the colours used.

Colour
The colour for this pot is Nude 971 with 2.6g of product. Though I have to say honestly... this shade is nowhere near nude. On the upside the pigments in this pot is similar to most sleek eyeshadows in that its highly pigmented.

Now for the shade in question, while it's not nude it is a pretty shade of brown with a slight pearly sheen and a hint of bronze and burnt wood. However due to the nature of the pearly sheen (in the swatch below) this shade would not be suitable for mature skin as an all over colour. It would only highlight the wrinkes not mask them.

Sleek Maximum Impact Eyeshadow - Nude 971 Swatch

So overall:

PROS: Highly pigmented, good quality product and good lasting effect with prior application of eye primer. Lasted at least 3 hours with just applied intensity and then smooths down and lasted another 4 hours or so.

A flexible shade that can create good smoky brown makeup. It's suitable for an all over the eye shade for most skin shades (especially if you are tanned) or for the select few who are very pale, a good shader colour.

CONS: The name of the shade is not a true indication of the actual shade that applies on skin. Might not suit mature (wrinkled) skin.

Retails: not a clue, I got it for free

Sleek idivine - Au Natural Palette 601, Hit or Miss? [SWATCH AND REVIEW]

Ok toots,

Today's review and swatch is going to be on the Sleek idivine - Au Natural Palette 601

As you all know I finally got my hands on my very own sleek natural palette through the generous souls of Luxola.com.

Packaging

Now looking at the packaging I have to say I like it. Its simple, to the point and elegant, not to mention sleek looking. (hey it's always good to go with the name (~_^)

Colours
The palette comes with 12 shades and 0.03oz/0.85g of product each. So for price tag of RM 50, its a good deal. There is also a nice selection of natural colours which range from extremely light and can build up to be a dark smoky look, which makes this palette suitable for any skin tone, be it light or dark.

This palette also contains shades that can double up as highlight such as taupe, a metallic shade such as conker or even an intense black colour to create smoky eyes.

The Swatch! (all done with only 1 roll and swipe of the product)
**you can clearly see the intensity of the pigment with only 1 swatch

Sleek idivine - Natural Palette (Bottom Row)

Sleek idivine - Natural Palette (Top Row)

So overall:

PROS: Highly pigmented, pretty cheap for a palette, good quality product and it last pretty long with an eye primer on. The lasts I counted at least 3 hours with just applied intensity and then smooths down and lasted another 4 hours.

CONS: Not too happy with the shade "Toast" but then its probably because the shade is so similar to my skin that it blends in almost invisibly. It was the same even on a lighter skinned person. I also tried it on top of MAC's Paint Pot in Blackground and I have to say I'm not loving it. (Oh well maybe something will work in the future ~ I'll let you know then)
